stones taught me to fly
love, it taught me to lie
life taught me to die
so it's not hard to fall
when you float like a cannonball

A fun weekend it was

I got home after work on Friday to hurriedly pack stuff up and throw Joe's new frisbee around for a bit at the park. I had intended on eating dinner with the family before I took off for the weekend, but my mom didn't get home from the doctor's and hair dresser's until 7 or 8 something? It all worked out in the end though - Zin was able to come get me without showing up on the parents' radar and I got to eat shepherd's pie instead of something like Congee Wong. Heh! We went to the house and packed up everything, ate, tried to organize a bunch of stuff, and finally hit the road around 11:30 p.m., if even! We didn't get to Waterloo until almost 1:00 a.m. The St. Paul's College graduate residences were nice. There even was air-conditioning. The accomodations were very neat and clean, and the room was a decent size.

On Saturday I woke up to Iola's call around 8:15 a.m. We headed out to CIF for the Pointfore tourny and, oh boy, what a hot gym it was. I still don't understand why there isn't A/C there. The tournament was pretty fun but I slowly ran outta juice. I was pretty tired nearing the end of it. Most of the matches were pretty unfair but oh well. Of all games that we played first, we competed against horse legs, the perv/pedophile, and horse legs' girlfriend. I'm not revealing any names here. You either know or you don't. Hehe! After the tournament the three of us just went to SLC to chill out for a bit. We just lounged around and chatted til we got hungry enough for dinner. Off to Leung Yau we went for all-you-can-eat hot pot and watermelon slushy juice! mMmm! So tasty! Before driving back to Toronto, Zin and I stopped off at the tasty bubbletea place in U-Plaza by Philip & University to pick up some drinks. Their bubbletea is so good! We actually got back into town fairly early. We watched the Nutty Professor before bed and then passed out while watching Alfie with JUDE LAW!! LOL!

We didn't head out until 3:00 p.m. or so on Sunday. We hit up T&T, M&M Meat Shops, Food Basics, and Price Chopper and bought a TON of groceries. Actually, it wasn't really a ton. It just happened to be pricey because of all the meat that was purchased - lamb, mesquite burgers, filet mignon, etc. After cleaning up the fridge and organizing everything in the freezer, we cooked up some bacon and eggs for snack (breakfast AND lunch had been skipped). We chilled out and browsed through flyers and M&M's magazines full of recipes and stuff before making dinner around 9:00 p.m. We grilled some pork chops with raspberry chipotle sauce, and honey garlic teriyaki chicken breasts (or something like that), along with grilled zucchini. We also cooked up some green beans and onions with garlic. Before I knew it, it was time to go home (again). I got home and unpacked all my dirty badminton clothes and laundry and such. I didn't sleep until 1:30 or so.......

...and I totally regretted it this morning. I was supposed to shower at 6 but didn't drag myself out of bed until 6:40. I wanted to stay in the shower all day. I passed out on the subway but couldn't get comfortable like I normally do. I hate sitting between people. They provide no support. LOL! The morning passed by reaaaaaaaallly slowly. I could barely keep my eyes open. I was definitely looking forward to lunch. I went to the Elephant & Castle Pub next door and had the Guiness Irish Stew with an iced tea. The stew had parsnips and carrots and braised lamb with garlic mashed potatoes. It was alright. Sounds better than it really was. For starters, I don't like their potatoes. Secondly, braised lamb definitely is not as good as lamb loin chops. Thirdly, I think stew was a bad choice for lunch. It was so heavy and filling and warm on a HOT, SUMMER day. Aiya....

Anyway, I better get back to work now. Lunch was over at 2:00 but I've been sitting here blogging away. Oh the joys of sitting in a secluded corner of the office now that Susan is gone (this was originally her desk but she left and part-timers now get to use it). It was kinda cruddy sitting here this mroning because the light above my area is blown and it was super dark and dim. It hurt my eyes to try to focus on seating reports. Indy is my saviour though - he lent me his desk lamp and now...well...."let there be light!!"

What the bugger?!

WHAT happened to my blog font?!

I didn't touch ANYTHING!!!

Ahhhh! :(

Help, anyone?!!

It has escaped!

No, conmen have not broken out of the Kingston Penitentiary. No, your dog didn't get out of the yard last night (at least not that I know of...). My memory is what has gotten away. It ran with the wind and flew off...for now. Maybe it's merely due to the fact that it's only 9:11 a.m. Hehe!

I've been sitting here trying to recall what I did this past week. It's...umm...not going too well. This is going to take me a while.

On Monday, I worked from 1:00 to 5:00. I TTC-ed over to the house as Zin freshened up after a bummy day of work (LOL!). We had to make effective use of time, as many stores close by 7:00 on a Monday. We hit up Cycle Path at Weston and Hwy.7 to check out bike racks. After leaving to check out Canadian Tire (only to find NOTHING), we headed back across the street and decided on one from Cycle Path. Next we headed back across the street again to purchase my new bike. It was interesting loading it onto the bike rack in the middle of the Canadian Tire parking lot. Heh! Anyhoo, we went back to the house and grilled up some pork chops and salmon and mushrooms real fast seeing as how someone was starving! The evening flew by again and before I knew it the day was over.

Tuesday was a full day at the office, followed by meeting up with Sopheak at Finch Station. We bussed back to my place and got a ride to softball from my mom. Afterwards a bunch of us went out to pho for dinner. I came home and fell asleep on the couch watching Season 4 of Dawson's, and went back upstairs to sleep around 12:30-1ish.

Wednesday was my day off!! The Home Depot in-home estimate guy was supposed to come at 10:00 a.m. but he didn't arrive until 11:00! He ended up being a jerk because he gave me lip. Well, he just lost a customer so whatever. I went out for a late lunch with my parents and Joe, then headed home to clean my room. Zin picked me up and we headed out to Fairview so I could get my contacts. Next stop was Bayview Cycle where I picked up a new bike seat. We finally headed back to the house to install the seat, the odometer, and to raise my handlebars. We took them out for a spin on the path off of Shoreham and saw five bunnies in the meantime. It was entirely bug-ified there though. I don't know how many I swallowed. (I'm kidding!) We cooked up some shepherd's pie for dinner after that and, for another night, didn't get a chance to clean the froggies.

Thursday was a rough day here at work for me. I spent the entire day seating or dealing with the most complicated complaints from some really selfish patrons. That woman.....I'm gonna blacklist her. My eyes were super tired from lack of sleep and wearing cons all day too. The funny thing is that I didn't actually leave at 5:00, which is what one would usually expect after a long day - for me to FLY out of the office at 5 on the dot. Well, instead I stayed even later to work on seating until 6:30 or so. At least I got more work done. I subwayed up to Downsview and met up with Zin. We chilled for a while before grilling up some tasty lamb loin chops, accompanied by sauteed carrots and vidalia onions with wine. Too bad we didn't have enough time to let the chops marinate for longer. Anyway, by the time we finished dinner it was 11 something. *sigh* Back home I went to do laundry, wait for the cycles to finish, throw items into the dryer, hang up any non-dryer-ables (I totally made up a word!), and I managed to sleep by 1:45. My old Paladins jersey shrank like...a TON......

I woke up at 6:30 to shower. Today is such a nice day. I'm decked out in sportswear at work. This is awesome. I hate work clothes. Why can't I wear shorts to work everyday?!

My eyes are feeling alright today. I decided not to put in my cons til after I got to work. I popped them in before I went on a breakfast run. They're feeling a-okay. Alright, gotta actually do some work now. I'm off to Waterloo tonight and won't be back til late tomorrow evening. Then it's off to Queen Street for some shopping wth Zin on Sunday!!! Wheee!!! SHOES!!!!!!!!!!

Gettin' busy

Before anyone even thinks of remarking about the title of this entry, let me explain. LOL!

With work pretty much being a guaranteed 8:45-5:00 from Monday to Friday, aside from Holidays and days that I might book off on the occasion, it leaves me with much less time to take care of things, run errands, etc. I'm not really speaking of the fact that I could be having fun instead of working at the office because, well, in order to have fun I must first make money (this usually applies, at least).

Anyway, I'm trying to figure out how accomodations are working of the Pointfore tournament that's happening this weekend in Waterloo. Iola, Kevin and I are playing as a team, and no one seems to be on school term right now. Well, Bryan isn't in this weekend anyway. So yea...are we to stay at Iola's friends' place and camp out on the floor with sleeping bags, or should we book a room at a Holiday Inn sorta thing and spend $50-$60 for one night? Aiya.....

Then there's figuring out what to do for Canada Day. I want to go away for a bit but this big family dinner stupid birthday thing is getting to really be a pain in the butt. To make a long story short, a non-family member, non-relative is having a big 81st birthday party dinner thing that my mom wants me to go to. It conflicts with my Canada Day plans. ARGH!

I'm not worrying too much about SOTF right now except for making sure that I'm signed up. We'll think about that later.

On a lighter and brighter note, I'm at work now and the phones are practically dead. The season's over so we're not getting any calls about exchanges or whatnot! Woo-hoo!

Continuing with where I left off.......Friday June the 17th.....I got off work and don't think I've been that glad in a LONG time that it was Friday and 5:00 p.m. I'd been working through a headache since ~ 1:00 p.m. and it was still going strong. I hopped onto the subway and dozed for a bit. That didn't help a whole lot but oh well. Kev met me at Downsview and we headed back to the house. I napped for a while and that sort of helped a bit. Then the headache came back. What a nuisance. Anyway, we grilled up some steaks and zucchini and mushrooms for dinner. mMmmm!

I went out to lunch with just my mom on Saturday. Joe had gone fishing with Loretta and Dan. They switched last-minute from Sunday to Saturday because Lor couldn't make Sunday anymore, and it worked for Joe either way...so yea. I'd already promised that I would go to softball on Saturday, so no fishing for me. Yet again.....*sigh* At least I got my Oakley's delivered to me. You know what's crappy though? First off, there was NO SUN! I didn't get to break them. Secondly, it's not like I could break them out anyway - I lost my right contact in the process of putting in eye drops; it must've gotten flushed out. Now I've gotta go order new cons too. *grrr* Oh yea...so back to Saturday. We were humbled playing against the Crusaders. We lost 5-15. I caught about 4 outs playing left rover and got two "RBI's", as Kev said. I can't remember what that stands for. Oh well, the team hustled so it was still good fun! The team did their poker night afterwards but I didn't join. Shirley, Sopheak, Grace, Brian, Kevin and I stuck around at the diamond and continued to play some more. Then they went off to Swiss Chalet for dinner. Kev and I went back to the house to watch a movie.

I slept in on Sunday, bummed around, and didn't do much. Went out to the magical place (don't ask) for dinner and had some really good fried squid. Came home, went online for a bit again to figure out SOTF stuff, and then talked on the phone for the rest of the night til 2:30 or so. I wanted to keep reading The Da Vinci Code, so I sat in bed and read til I dozed off. I woke up around 7:30 to turn off my light, then went back to bed until 11:00. Got up, washed up, cooked up some eggs and leftover spam for breakfast (there was no food in the fridge that was quicker than spam), and rolled out the door to work. Here I am now posting. Better get off and actually do something productive now.

And WHAT a storm it was

Continuing with where I left off in my last entry, softball practice was very laid back this past Tuesday. We practiced catching in outfield and throwing to the cut-off. Then we headed over to some diamond by Bridlewood Mall to possibly challenge another team to a friendly game. Of course, the black freakstorm clouds were threateningly looming over us. The other team decided to bat for a bit as we fielded for them. Um...yea...luckily we closed up early because a few minutes after I got into softball Grace's car (as in, not YUBC Grace), it started to storm insanely. We literally could not see a thing in front of us and the wipers were going at full speed. We could barely make out the car in front of us, lines on the roads obviously weren't visible, and Rogers phonecalls were not connecting properly. My calls home continuously cut out. Anyway, a quick run from my driveway to the front door resulted in me being soaked. It was that bad. Grace had to wait out the rain at my place for a bit. I ate dinner in the dark with the help of Joe's MagLite, then started up a quick candle-lit game of Hold 'Em in my room. Soonafter, Brian arrived with McDonald's apple pie delivery for me, and they (him, Jackie, Sopheak) came in to play as well. Around 10:30 p.m. we all headed over to the house instead to continue playing, where Emily and Khoa were. Charley was studying upstairs "with me". Oiii...that was a close call. Anyhoo, Jackie took Joe and I home for 1 a.m. or so. I was so insanely tired at work the next day.

On Wednesday I worked from 8:45-5:00. Headed home to change and drop off my stuff. Went out to Fairview with Kevin and Joe to hit up Foot Locker. I ended up buying the Nike Impax 2 running shoes, but I haven't actually broken them out yet. I'm gonna see if they're really for me. I mean, I like them and all but both Kevin and Joe think that they're a bit much. Take a look see! SHOES! We dropped Joe back home and headed out to Colossus to watch Madagascar. Burger King is so gross, let alone CINEMA Burger King food. *ugh* The movie was alright; not as good as the other cartoons that I've seen - Monster's Inc., Finding Nemo, etc. You KNOW that Boo was insanely cute in Monster's Inc.!

I didn't get into work until 9:15 on Thursday. It's okay though....sorta. Three other people were experiencing TTC delays. The day passed...extremely slowly....but it did. I got a really anal secretary calling in for a patron that totally pissed me off for the rest of the day. I tried to leave work by 5:05 p.m. to make it home in time for a 6:00 p.m. appointment. We had some dude coming over to do an in-home estimate for roofing and eavestroughs and stuff. I got an earful for getting home at 6:05. I later asked Joe when the dude had arrived to find out that he came early. Okay, so like nobody told you guys to freakin' start without me, so it's NOT my problem. The appointment was supposed to be at 6:00 p.m. I get off at 5! I do not FLY up from downtown, and there IS something called TRAFFIC and RUSH HOUR. Freakin' hell man. Jeez. I was so pissed off...along with a bunch of other stuff. UGH. Anyway, after the appointment, Joe and I biked off to release some....animals...into the wild. After that, I stayed home for a fairly good dinner. Since eating congee for 4 days straight because of the stomach flu that I'd come down with, solid food just tasted good. For the remainder of the evening I worked through some seating reports from work that I'd taken home while watching the 1st season of LOST with Joe. We got through about 4 episodes or so. It's not bad. I don't think it's as captivating as some of the other shows that I already watch. Hrm...we'll see.

On Friday...LOL! Oh my! I just realized that I was ready to type all about Friday when it dawned on me that today is Friday is still happening. Hahah! Stupid me! So far it's been so chill and fun. It's almost 12:30 p.m. now and I've taken no more than 5 calls. It's so sweet that it's the end of the season! Patrons can't call in to exchange concerts anymore cuz there IS only ONE concert left! I went on the CS breakfast run with Jason. Picked up a bunch of coffees and some McDonald's. I myself had the Sausage 'N Egg McGriddle with ROUND EGG instead of folded egg. It was pretty good at the MOMENT. Everything was kinda mushy though. I think I prefer the McMuffin still. Anyway, I now feel like a lump of thing. It's just sitting in me. I think I'm gonna eat a really light lunch so I can enjoy tonight's steak! To whomever has seen the movie "Madagascar" - Alex the Lion has good taste! Anyhoo, I'm taking lunch in 45 minutes with Denise. We're gonna pick up...some sort of food along the way and go over to do some shopping at MEC. I'm still thinking whether I should or shouldn't get a duffle bag from MEC. I'm really tempted....to use it as a luggage bag when I go away. Anyway, I'll have to see! If I do get it and don't like it, I can return it anyway! So yea! Today is gonna be chill! I'm picking up my Polarized Oakley's tonight so that I have them for tomorrow's softball game. It BETTER be sunny!! I'm also going fishing on Sunday!! Wheeee!

Time to get caught up

I've fallen behind a few days in posting, so here's fair warning that this may be a lengthy entry.

One quick question to anyone who may have the answer (obviously):
My CRT is flickering noticeably. Any idea why?
I know that I could Google it, but it'd be helpful if someone could leave a simple explanation. Thanks in advance!

The end-of-season TSO BBQ at RTH on Thursday night was alright - just some regular BBQ food and appetizers/desserts. Had a pretty good time just chillin' with the CS people. Denise and I subwayed back uptown and I got in around 1:30 or so. Gave Zin a quick call and actually caught him in his room.

I totally slept in on Friday morning - didn't get up for work until almost 8:00 a.m. I raced out the door and got to work around 9:15; that's 30 MINUTES LATE! Omg.........! 12:30 p.m. arrived soon enough and I headed downstairs to Swiss Chalet to meet up with Anne, Angela, Janis and Joyce for lunch. Too bad I only had an hour to spare, but that's already not bad. It would've been better if the service was faster. Oh well. It was pretty awesome to catch up with everyone, in brief mind you. We've still got time. We'll meet again, someday. LOL!

The rest of Friday's workday flew by and I headed home to watch the second last episode of this past season of ER. Doctor Carter is leaving!!! Well, not that I didn't know to begin with, but to actually see it play out is somewhat sad. I liked him; he was a cool character with a lot of history on the show. Anyway, we headed out around 7 p.m. to meet up with Lor and Dan for Joe's 16th birthday dinner. Can you imagine? "Little Donna" is 16 already, and he's not little anymore either. I mean, he's still a twig and all (as are several other individuals that come to mind...heh!) but he keeps on sprouting vertically. When was that supposed to happen to ME a good 5 years ago?!?! *cries* Anyway, the meal was tasty and good times were had. Way too much seafood though, like any and all other celebratory dinners. Aii..... Joe and myself headed back to Dan and Lor's place to play poker and eat gross hazelnut cake from Maxim's after dinner. For a first-time Hold 'Em player, I did fairly well. I won a few large pots, but still ended up losing in the end. I guess it didn't help that I constantly had to refer to my print-out of poker hands. Yes, I'm a NEWB!

On another note, Lor's giving me her Polarized Oakley's for 90 bucks! What a deal! Wahahaha!

Saturday consisted on dim sum with my brother and parents, followed by grocery shopping at Market, Bayview Loblaws, and the new Bayview Village Loblaws - yes, two different Loblaws'. Anne came over after that and we made Perogies for dinner! Man, those things are filling. Guh. We watched "Enter The Phoenix" with Daniel Wu and Karen Mok over dinner. I left partway to shower only to have to freeze for 20 minutes because somebody was using the water! ARGH. Long story. Anyway, we left for the airport around 10 p.m. and picked up Zin. Welcome back!!!! Back to the house we went, to open souvenirs and discover a sauna-like house. Oh man. The air-conditioning is practically non-existant. So psychotically hot!!! :S Anne took me home around 12:15 and I ended up talking on the phone until 6:30 a.m. or so....................LOL!

Sunday was NOT COOL. I woke up feeling nauseous and barely made it to the toilet to chuck after rinsing toothpaste out of my mouth. I already felt like hurling upon waking up, but I figured that I could keep it down and that it would pass. I guessed wrong. Anyway, I had to be downtown at Roy Thompson Hall for 1:45 p.m. I managed to get through Concert Duty feeling like total crap. Zin came to get me at 3:00 p.m. Thank goodness he'd picked up some Gatorade like I'd asked him to. I definitely didn't want to eat anything but I need some fluids and sugar in my system. Mini Oreos from Finch Station didn't seem to really do the trick. We hit up the Woodbridge Costco and signed up for a membership. Guess who I saw there, by the way? Mr. Desilets and Miss Villano. No, wait. Sorry, I stand corrected - Mr. and Mrs. Desilets. Heh! So yea, that was a bit of a surprise. Anyway, we picked up a fan and some groceries, then swung by Shoppers to get me some Gravol. The quick-dissolve tablets are insane, I tell you! They literally TOUCH water and disappear almost immediately! That may not be important to the rest of you, but for someone who doesn't take capsules or pills, it's some uber good news! I ate some Campbell's Chunky Beef Vegetable soup later that evening at the house, which wasn't even that much (as in, I didn't finish it). Anything that was being ingested was wreaking havoc on my stomach.

I passed out on my bed upon getting home. Somebody tucked me in at what I was later told to be 1:00 a.m. or so (from Joe, by Joe). I woke up around 9:40 a.m. in a groggy panic. "^*&$! I'm supposed to be at work for 8:45!!......I think?! What day is it?!" I check my calendar to discover that it's Monday. OH NO! I stare a little longer at it to finally realize that I was working a half-day in the afternoon. *PHEW!* Back to bed I went, but not before setting my alarm for 12 noon. I wake up literally one minute later upon realizing that 12 noon made no sense. I was supposed to go out the DOOR then. Ugh. I reset my phone's alarm again for 10:40 and finally settled back into bed. The next time I woke up, it was 10:53 a.m. What the dilio?! WHY hadn't my alarm gone off?! I pick up my phone to realize that the dumb-ard here had set it for 10:40 P.M. *sigh* I took a quick shower and went to work feeling like crud. My shift passed fairly quickly, and I stuck around until 7:15 p.m or so doing lottery ticket processing with Lucas, Orsolya and Jason. Back uptown to Downsview I went to meet up with Zin. We raced up to FMP to drop off some racquets at Yo's for stringing, then hit up Congee Wong for some congee. Next was Iola's house to figure out some details for the Pointfore tourny, which we are now signed up for.

I didn't go in to work today. I woke up to my stomach feeling quick unsettled again. It's been churning for most of the day. Not a painful unsettled feeling, mind you, but more of a "I'm out to make you feel uncomfortable all day" type of unsettled. I guess you can say that that's a little bit better???? I went and had some congee for lunch with mom and Joe. I'm home now writing up this super blog entry. Whoever reads this far is nuts.

So yea......tonight is softball practice from 6:30 or so til 9:00 p.m.-ish. The team might head out to pho or food somewhere afterwards? I'm not really too keen on the idea of eating right now, but we'll see. Maybe a nice glass of water will be good. Good ol' tasty water.....................*rolls eyes*

Something to say

I couldn't think of a more original title, so I'll state the obvious - I have something to say. (DUH!)

I experience once of those embarassing TTC moments yesterday. I always doze on and off while commuting, and this time I finally got "settled" around Leslie. What a bad idea. The next thing I knew, I was opening my eyes and TOTALLY knew that I had just missed my stop. My eyes had been shut for too long. Oh no. I woke up, looked around, and realized that we were driving over the 404. D'oh!! At this point, I was deliberating whether to tell the driver that I'd missed my stop and to kindly issue me a transfer....or to just waste a token and save myself the embarassment. Well, I didn't want to waste $2, and I figured that the driver would probably never see me again, or at least wouldn't recognize me, so I went to have a quick chat with him. He was pretty cool about and just kinda smirked at me. *sigh*

I raced home to head to the doc's with my mom. While in the waiting room, it was decided that none of the YUBC people wanted to Buffet King. Oh well. It was their idea in the first place. Instead someone suggested Mandarin over Buffet King. That's just disgusting. So yea, better for me I guess. Iola and I decided to go for sushi buffet instead for an early birthday celebration (hers, not mine). SO MUCH FOOD. Oh man.....

I went home, vegged at Joe's comp, and watched an episode or two of ER. I'm still not caught up because the last few eps are on tape as opposed to being downloaded. The TV download site had just shut down around that time, so Joe told me, and he hasn't bothered to download them since. Instead, he's in the process of getting all of season 1 of some show called Lost. I *think* I've heard about it before? Not entirely sure. Either way, it's been downloading for about a day and a half now, and it's 9 GBs total. That's nuts!

Khoa is supposed to be building my new system over the summer. In exchange for his labour, I'll be burning him my 10 GBs of music, as well as all of Season 2 of the O.C. He's also going to teach me how to hop a curb on my bike....so that I don't face-plant. Not a bad deal if you ask me.

I was up until about 2:00 a.m. on the phone with Mish discussing futures and plans and school and such. I called into work and told them that I'd be in for 1:00 p.m. instead of 8:45 a.m. My brain felt fried anyway. I desperately needed the rest. Inside this head of mine, everything's still swirling, and I'm totally freaked out and panicking....but enh. A little sleep did it some good. At least I'm not as on edge today.

The workday is almost up. It hasn't been so bad. My eyes are insanely dry right now because, once again, I'm at my Assistant Manager's desk again. They didn't have enough part-timer desks available for everyone that was in. The managers' office has a fan blowing around and so there currently is a flow of air directed at my eyes....and you guys must know how uncomfortable that can feel. I'm off at 5:00 p.m., and then I've got Concerty Duty at RTH at 6:45 p.m., so I should have some time to grab some dinner, enjoy some of the warm weather, and then head on over to work again. Tonight is the TSO's end-of-season post-concert BBQ at RTH, so it should be fun. A lot of the staff are going, so it'll be a good mingling event. Too bad Zin isn't here. We were allowed to bring someone. That would've been neat. Oh well.

I'm thinking of playing in the Pointfore tourny on the 25th of June. That weekend seems to be free right now. Just maybe?

I'm also gonna be painting the bathroom(s) in my house. Gotta sand off the old paint, sand down the wall to make it smooth, paint a coat of primer on there, then two coats of bathroom/kitchen waterproof and mildew proof paint. If anyone's interested in helping me, PLEASE let me know. I don't wanna do this by myself and it'll be fun. I'll throw in some perks (to be announced if you inquire).

That's all for now. Got to get back to work.
I have nothing else to say.

Good ol' mornings...

It's freezing in the office right now. I was deliberating already whether I should wear a long-sleeved shirt to work. Thank goodness that I did. The office is unusually frigid. Someone must've let them in on my secret. The one about me falling asleep if it gets stuffy.

Temperature-wise, it's even cooler out this morning. Or should I say, "cooler". It's only 19 Celsius right now. Yep, right now...for now. It's supposed to climb back up to a balmy 30 Celsius again. I'm not complaining. The warmth is awesome, AND I'm only working a half-day today. After work I'm racing back up to the west end to feed the frogs and myself (no, that doesn't mean piecing two and two together with me eating the frogs...). I have to be over on campus by 3:00 p.m. for an appointment, and I should be out of there by 4:00 p.m. in order to make it home in time for 5:00 p.m. That's pretty tight if you ask me, considering I've got to be at the doc's with my mom for 5:30 p.m. (during RUSH HOUR). Oh yea....then it's dinner with Iola. :)

I had the craziest dream last night. I was in a hotel lobby-ish type of setting, and it appeared that I was the hotel concierge. AND, of all things, I was speaking French. I mean, not that I can't speak French or anything....but I've NEVER, EVER, EVER dreamt in French before. Weirdness much? The funny thing is that I wasn't even speaking about hotel-related matters. I continuously talked at the hotel lobby's counter to patrons about pens.....one patron after another after another. See, I can't recall exactly what I said in the dream, but I know that I kept holding up a pen in the dream and saying, "...blah blah blah blah stylo blah blah......". I do have a slight idea as to why I might've dreamt in/about French though. Joe was studying for today's French exam and I was helping him review. Funny how I would've dreamt about something so....ummm....unimportant? You'd think that I would dream about the Smallville season finale. That's right! OH yea, baby! I'm all caught up! CLARK AND LANA! OMG! Woo-hoo!!! They macked!!! LOL!

Yea, it's one of those mornings where I'm being REALLY random. Iola just called it a "typical Donna morning" in her e-mail. THANKS, Iola. :P

Exhaustion/fatigue are the answers

Why is that?

Well, for starters, they make you forget. Or you could call it not giving a rat's ass 'cuz you're way too tired.

Brian came over to my place yesterday after his softball practice. We hit up Skymark so that I could pick up some sunscreen (go Neutrogena!) from Pharma Plus, as well as some moola from TD. We ate lunch at Fantaxia and walked back to my place afterwards. Mish arrive soonafter and we took QUITE a long time to load the two bikes into her dad's 4Runner. The cabin turned out to be a lot LESS spacious than I'd thought. Brian ended up deciding that he was just going to meet up with his cousin rather than joining us at Centre Island (party pooper!).

So Mish's dad took us down to the docks. We unloaded our bikes and ferried across. Khoa, Jackie, Sopheak, and Grace met up with us at the bike rental station and we explored the island for the rest of the day. We bought ice cream at Centreville and contemplated on purchasing $10 cartoon foil balloons. Mish and I broke off from them and biked to the other side of the island and discovered many tiny private and oh-so-cute cottages! We also played with the cutest baby kitty ever that was roaming around on someone's yard. In our efforts to race across the entire island in 5 minutes to catch the 8:15 p.m. ferry back to Toronto, I killed my quadriceps. I should've given up when I couldn't feel my legs anymore, but I still decided to cycle through the pain. I don't think I've ever biked that fast before either....or that far. OMG. You know what the worst part is? We still ended up missing the ferry.

I went to 9:00 a.m. mass at Good Shepherd today. We dropped Karen home after that and went to lunch at Market. Did some grocery shopping, followed by CanTire shopping. Woohoo to that! Dad bought me all these bike accessories that I was about to pay for myself. We picked Joe up from work, then headed home to install most of the stuff onto my bike. Sopheak arrived, I went inside to pack up my softball stuff, and we headed out to the diamond. They switched locations on us last minute and that was quite bothersome. Initially we were supposed to play at Riseborough at Birchmount and Steeles. Somehow we got switched to Wilclay at McCowan and Steeles. Like, could it be any closer?! Anyway we won 27-6 against the Disciples. Not bad for a season starter, eh? GO PALADINS! I'm happy that I didn't strike out. I think I only ran singles though...and didn't run very fast either. I was in a lot more pain than I let on. Don't know if I should've sprinted like that towards the bases. It couldn't have done my quads much good. I came home and went out to dinner with dad and mom shortly after that. Joe stayed home to study for his exams. And...now? Well, I'm bored, exhausted, in pain, and totally freaked out still. But, again, like the title of my post and the initial lines of this entry.....I'm too exhausted to give a care. That's not such a bad thing.

In a state...

...of panic.

I'm freaking, I'm flipping, I'm livid, I'm confused, I'm so lost, and I feel like SHIT.

I wish you weren't a million miles away right now.

Sometimes I don't think it's worth living anymore. I can't figure it out. I don't think I can do this anymore. Help me...........

*SIGH*

Gonna get into shape....hopefully

So I'm sitting at my Assistant Manager's desk today because there aren't enough part-timer desks available for all the...well...part-timers that are in to work. 12:00 noon is the one sale for The Star Wars Concert, so I guess that's why they called in for extra people. Nuts, eh? It feels kinda odd sitting here, with all the people passing by the office and then stopping to take another glance. Yes people, I'm not Kevin, and no, I haven't been promoted. Not yet, anyway. LOL!

I wonder if all this physical activity lately has been doing anything to my body aside from tiring it out. I biked for several hours down at the Beaches with Michelle on Saturday. On Monday I played badminton for about 3 hours (didn't sit out much because there were only 5 of us). Yesterday I had softball practice. SPEAKING OF SOFTBALL PRACTICE - I stopped a grounder yesterday by charging it. However, let me finish. It's not what you would imagine it to be. I took a step-too-many and ended up stopping the speeding grounder with my shin. Oh mannnn. It really didn't hurt that much at first, but as I stood in the field afterwards, it began to throb. I iced it last night - not sure if that did it any good. Anyway, I have the most painful bruise now.

So that was softball practice. After work today I'm playing badminton again at Tait. I'm quite tired, but I think I'll be okay. Just not gonna play any crazy games. Let's see. Saturday I should be heading to Centre Island again with Michelle to bike, and if I make it back uptown in time I'll be playing badminton at L'Amoreaux with Iola.

Sunday is our first softball game of the season at the Riseborough diamond....wherever that is. Denise thinks that it's in Scarborough. Go figure, eh.
