stones taught me to fly
love, it taught me to lie
life taught me to die
so it's not hard to fall
when you float like a cannonball

Lapsing in and out

Sometimes, I really wish I could just disappear off the face of this Earth.
Just vanish....and wish that I never existed.

"Sometimes", by the way, is happening now.

I can't seem to do anything right, so what's the point.... Of anything? Of everything? Of it all.

I do one thing, it pisses someone off. I do something else, and someone else gets mad.
I help one person, and another gets mad. I live life, and people get mad.
Well, now it's time for me to be mad. At none other than myself.
Why can't I fix myself?
To be the way I should be.
To be the way that would please others. To please them. To please you. To please You.

Lord, help me in my darkest moments. Please.....

Absolute glory!

Oh my goodness!

To all you lovely readers, you MUST check out the above link!
Thanks very much to Michelle-o for sending this to me.
I just spent the past hour checking out this site (rather than studying for my test, mind you *ahem*).

It's absolutely vile, but SO interestingly disgusting!
It's hilarious!

Enjoy, and tell me what you think!
Heheh!

P.S. Definitely check out PROJECT 1 first! It's much more captivating!

Chicken balls

So, as a Chinese person, I have a confession to make. Up until yesterday, there was an item on the "Canadian"/whitified Chinese food menu that I'd never tried before - chicken balls. Don't get me wrong. I do know what they are, and I have seen them before. I've also seen other people eat them before. It's just that I myself had never tasted this battered, chicken-filled.....sphere....before.

So what occasion brought about such a monumental (hah!) event? Well, Zin and I went up to Brampton (yes, even with the ridiculous amount of snow, as well as the terrible driving conditions!) for the Nobleton Farm Service, etc., company dinner at the Mandarin. The subject of chicken balls got brought up with Norma (their neighbour up in N.dot.). So yes, I gave one a try. It wasn't terribleeeeeeee, but I have definitely eaten tastier things in my lifetime. Hehe!

And that is the story of my very first chicken ball. :P

Actually scared out of my pants...

I really need a place to rant right now. So, here I am. Yes, of all places.

I'm really starting to dread Friday. I dont' know what's in store for me. I frankly don't, but also do, want to hear the news. I know I shouldn't be getting ahead of myself, or unnecessarily freaking myself out...but I just can't help but think what would happen if it was to be bad news.

Can you imagine how freaky that would be?

Sure, the clock's ticking for everyone. That's a reality that oughtn't be denied. However, imagine if someone told you that you just lost the expected 60+ years, and that it might be time to go.

Oh man, I'm just totally scaring myself now.
I need to stop.
:(

All or nothing

It's slightly bizarre how my exercise "schedule" - if you can even call it that - is.

I either go without badminton for roughly 2 months, or I play a gazillion times within one week.

I played at YUBC on Monday, ABC(123 - hehe!) on Tuesday, could've played Wednesday evening but didn't, YUBC on Thursday, ABC(123) on Thursday evening, and Friday at YUBC. I would've played again earlier tonight (Friday evening) at Driftwood had it not been closed.

Imagine if I did this for a month non-stop. I think I'd ACTUALLY be in good shape!!! HAHAH!

Hello 2k5...

Well, the holidays are over, and back to school it is for most of us. It's quite unfortunate, if you ask me. I sacrificed sleep yet again over the break so that I could squeeze most of my activities in. Yea, I'm still sort of bitter that I finished so late. I wish I'd had more time to see people and whatnot. So here's a brief recap of the break.

[Tuesday the 21st]
After finishing on Tuesday the 21st, I went to have dessert with Joyce up at FMP post-family dinner.

[Wednesday the 22nd]
On Wednesday, Zin and I went to Nhi's birthday thingy at Ly's house for a bit, then went to Joyce's movie night. There was SO much snow out! It was wicked! We drifted at a few turns up in Ly's neighbourhood in Maple. Wheee!

[Thursday the 23rd]
Thursday's plans to shop at Sherway Gardens, followed by the Asian malls in Markham, were semi-ruined because of all the snow that got dumped on the city - plus the freezing rain. Bryan and I ended up ditching Sherway and just headed up to FMP for lunch, then shopping there...along with Pacmall and Market. We bought a CRAZY load of stuff. I rushed home to wrap some gifts, then went out with Zin in the evening to trade presents at the house.

[Friday the 24th]
More crazy shopping was done. Bryan and I hit up Yorkdale first, and had lunch at the foodcourt. We found some wicked deals, like the "50% OFF EVERYTHING" sale at Mexx!! We headed back up to FMP afterwards to find more stuff. I went to Midnight Mass with family later in the evening, and opened presents after midnight when we returned from church. I took some crazy pictures of Joe in his new "China Cohen" outfit. LOL! Luckily I had Bryan with me to do all my Christmas shopping. He was SO helpful! Clothing sizes, shoe sizes, opinions on what not to get and such! Just totally AWESOME! :)

[Saturday the 25th]
Iola dropped by in the morning, followed by Mish. I basically spent most of the day at home eating Christmas brunch, playing XBox and watching DVD's. Bwahahahaha!

[Sunday the 26th]
The official day of retail's evilness to the EXTREME! This is the second Boxing Day I've spent working, and it sucked just as much as last year. I worked the 2pm-9pm shift (CLOSING). All I can say is that the store looked like a warzone.

[Monday the 27th]
Worked from 7:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., then went up to Destiny's @ Commerce for bubbletea with Zin.

[Tuesday the 28th]
Worked from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Gina gave me a ride home afterwards. Went home, and....slept? Watched DVDs? Can't quite remember.

[Wednesday the 29th]
Worked from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Anne and Jan picked me up afterwards and we went to hot pot, which was loads of fun! Haha! Anne's boyfriend/mom, all in one? LOL!

The turn-out was pretty good, considering I decided to keep it small this time (NO MORE crazy 40 person dinners!). Those in attendance: Anne, Jan, Mark, Christine, Kevin C., Steph Tam, Steph Tan, Iola, Alice, Holek, and myself.

Vicky came by after dinner, but plans eventually did not work out. So yes, no post dinner plans materialized between Alice, Iola, Vicky and I. Instead, Alice and Holek took me "home"-ish, and Mark ended up coming over to watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with me.

[Thursday the 30th]
Anne came over around 10:30 a.m. to drag me out of bed so that we could hang out!!! Woo-hoo! So yes, we lounged around in my room for a few hours, then I went to shower as she surfed the Net or wrote in my yearbook or something? We headed out to Yorkdale around 2:30, where she dropped me off. I went to find Mish at The Children's Place and bugged her 'til it was time for her to get off at 4 p.m. We roamed Yorkdale for a little bit, then hit up the food court so I could get some food at Arby's. We hopped on the subway to head down to MEC, and bumped into Jessica Virdo on the way. We got to MEC and shopped around - I ended up purchasing my new bag and some hardcore winter boots. We walked on Queen afterward and shopped around. After getting hot drinks at Starbucks, we paid Carlos a visit at Korean Grill House (where I had to change reservations as well). We walked to Nathan Philips to watch people skate for a while, then went to shop at Eaton's Center. By the end of the day, I had a new MEC bag, new MEC boots, two pairs of monkey socks, and a new Jacob Connexion top. We had dinner at Red Lobster, and I had a super tasty Garlic Shrimp Alfredo Fettucine. We subwayed back up to Yorkdale, and Mish drove me home.

[Friday the 31st]
Woke up late in the afternoon, showered, headed to Pharma Plus, and then Zin came to pick me up. We went back to the house and chilled before heading out to Yorkdale (along with Brian). We parked the car and subwayed downtown to Osgoode. From there, we walked to Korean Grill House and had dinner UPSTAIRS (new addition since last year!), along with Matt, Mark, Mish, Janis, and Angela. We headed over to Nathan Philips after and squeezed into the crowd on the left side of the stage, where we were joined by Joyce, Vinca, Renee, and friend after. We counted down, then walked on Queen for a bit before deciding to head up to Commerce instead for bubbletea. Lots of crazy pics were taken on the subway and at BubbleStar...and hopefully I'll be able to post them up sometime. We left around 3:00 and dropped Mark off somewhere in Vaughan/Thornhill (??), then Mish back home. Headed back to the house and passed out. I was hoping to stay up til 5 to play jitz and watch Family Guy. Dang!

[Saturday the 1st - 2005!!!]
Had trouble sleeping throughout the night, but oh well. S'all good. Slept in until 6:00 p.m. or so. Showered, then Zin made turkey pie for dinner. We ate that while watching My Sassy Girl FINALLY - after having said so for the past 3 months?? :S

[Sunday the 2nd]
Went to 10:30 mass and headed back home to heat up some quick lunch. Rushed to work for 1:00 p.m. and was there until 7:00. Jason picked me up from work, and we headed westward to York where we grabbed Jo. Off to the house we went for the exec meeting. Didn't do much else. Played some ping pong and jitz post-meeting. Had hot dogs for dinner? Snacked on Terry's freshly baked chocolate chip cookies...WITH milk...and Maroc clementines (?).

[Monday the 3rd]
Went to YUBC and played quite terribly. I've sort of forgotten how to play. LOL! However, it got better eventually and I had some crazy smacking smash going on today. It was pretty insane! :P Played some really good mixed matches with Brian, and noticed that Bennett purchased a Cab20 Muscle as well.

Went home, packed my Guides stuff, and headed over to Gail's house for the planning meeting. The rest of the year seems to be planned out now. Hopefully it will go off without many problems.

Okay, this post is turning random now. I wanted to keep it short. That's it for now.
