stones taught me to fly
love, it taught me to lie
life taught me to die
so it's not hard to fall
when you float like a cannonball

Back to old habits

Uh-oh. I've once again fallen behind in posting....*sigh*

The last time I posted about recent events was Wednesday, July the 27th.

To finish off that day (the 27th), I stayed at work until 5:15. I can't remember what happened after that.

I was scheduled to work from 8:45 to 5:00 on the 28th. Instead I worked 1:30 to 5:15. What happened after that, again, I do not remember.

I worked from 9:00 to 5:15 on Friday the 29th. Kev came down to the office to pick me up after work, and we roamed Queen Street for a while in search of the Ben & Jerry's ice cream shop. We finally found it by the Tea Shop 168 store near MuchMusic. We met up with his friend Rob around 7:00 p.m. and the three of us watched the Jays vs. Texas Rangers game! We lost, but oh well. It was fun!

On Saturday the 30th, a small emergency arose. Agnes wanted to go out the door with me. Little did she know that I was supposed to be heading out of town, just for the day, up to the cottage. I'd told her that I was going downtown, so I guess she assumed that I was about to TTC it. Luckily I convinced her that we were going by car and had to pick some other people up near the area that she needed to be at. We ended up driving her to Empress. We drove up to Coboconk for the day to spend some time with his family, as well as his brother and two friends (Simon & Dave, I think??). We had steak for dinner too! After all that talk about steak, I miraculously got one! Woo-hoo! Anyway, we came back into town and went to Richmond Court to get take-out milk tea before heading to the Seneca Hill Public School parking lot to just chat. It was nuts because we saw a CRAZY meteor or comet or something that made the entire sky by my neighbourhood light up! It was SO cool! Plus we saw the good ol' skunk again. Heh! That thing really likes me. :( Either way, it was nice to just chat like old times. The summer has been so hectic that there's no time to just talk and relax. It hasn't necessarily been a bad type of hectic or anything, but you know how it's sometimes nice to just wake up, throw on a pair of sweats, tie back the hair into a ponytail and bum around the house wandering and doing nothing? Yea. That's what I'm talking about. :) That long weekend of bumming and relaxation ensued one week later (keep reading).

The Civic holiday long weekend was pure sh*t. I nearly died trying to get through those few days. It was a difficult one, and it hurt a lot. Thank goodness it's over, that's all I've got to say. A briefing of the Sunday - church, home, MSN = bad, family BBQ at uncle's house, followed by bubbletea and shooting pool at Iola's house. It's equally difficult to shoot pool when your vision is super blurred from tired eyes and wearing contact lenses. Sounds COMFORTABLE, eh? - when you feel like gauging your eyes out with your fingers....

Everyone had the Monday off (the 1st of AUGUST) because of Civic holiday. I went to dim sum with Agnes and the entire family. We came home after that to watch Ocean's 11. I was half-watching, half-MSNing. We had dinner at Jade Dynasty couresy of Karen since she wouldn't be seeing Aunty Agnes off at the airport the next day. We watched Million Dollar Baby after dinner, and I ended up being online and up until 5:30 a.m. Again, this weekend sucked monkey balls.

I was supposed to work Tuesday from 8:45-5:00 but Kevin gave me the day off. He'd okay-ed it the previous week, which was good. I wanted to see Agnes off at the airport. We had early 10 a.m. dim sum at Jade Dynasty, and then set off to the airport. I went home and chilled with Kev, going over music and compiling CD lists while the family was out of town in Kingston to see Karen's potential apartment. We hit up Imprint Express Inc. afterwards to order Exec t-shirts, followed by Big Al's to look at fishy stuff. This was the day that the Air France flight crashed at the GTAA. Agnes' flight ended up being cancelled and she had to stay an extra night at our place. I didn't go to softball practice because my knee and shoulder were being retarded still.

I called in to work on Wednesday the 3rd so that I could have lunch with Agnes before she returned to Australia. We ate a quick lunch at Congee Wong before TTC-ing downtown together. I showed her to Union Station so that she could board the Airport Express coach back to the GTAA. I made my way into work for 1:00.

I can't remember again what I did on the 4th. I know I didn't go into work. I think my stomach was being stupid. So yea, I missed another full day of work. I can't remember what I did in the evening. I know I stayed home and watched the O.C. with Joe though.

On Friday the 5th I still didn't go in. I went over to the house early in the afternoon. Kev got home from work, freshened up, and we hit up Big Al's. Well, not before I dislocated my shoulder though. Holy CRAP it hurt. OMG. I never want to experience that again. To feel like I didn't have a moveable arm, and to be in such pain, was NOT cool. Anyway, I ended up buying 5 VERY pregnant female guppies from Big Al's, and Justin was there to help us out too. We made a crazy shepherd's pie for dinner, followed by a major fly-swatting session. OMG. I'm going to kill Charley when he comes back to Canada. His sh*tmess of a room is breeding flies and crap all over the house. I'm going to TORCH HIS ROOM SOON!!!

I stayed over at the house for the weekend just to spend some quality and get away for a while. We had pancakes for breakfast on Saturday the 6th. We moved some items around in the house. We diced up half of a 20 lb. watermelon (that's TEN POUNDS of watermelon - HEHEHE!) and blended it into juice. We didn't quite have enough ice to make it into a slushie though. For dinner we grilled up wings and asparagus and a massive zucchini courtesy of Norma. We were going to watch a movie but both of us ended up being way too tired. Instead, we just slept. Well, he slept. I was awake. I have insomnia issues at his house. I don't know WHY. Argh!

Sunday the 7th flew by. We had leftover fried rice and chicken wings for brunch. We spent the afternoon with him trying to teach me to play guitar and me being really bad at playing the drums. I. am. musically. retarded. We made cheesy spaghettini for dinner with onions, carrots, beef, and....stuff?? (I can't remember...) Before I knew it, and all too soon, the weekend was over, and back over to the east end of North York I went. It was nice roaming the house in PJ's all weekend, just kicking back to relax and hang out and do absolutely anything we wanted off the top of our heads. No schedule to stick to. Nothing we had to get done. Just pure relaxing, that felt like anything but an eternity. :( Doing dishes was fun!!!!!! *evil laugh!*

I didn't go in on Monday because my arm was really bugging me. I'd slept on it during the night without knowing and awoke in quite a bit of pain. So yea, I didn't go in to work. I was home all day fishing for baby Chinese Algae Eaters and their eggs. Oh yea, I didn't mention! I've been super UNsuccessful at breeding guppies. Then I come home from a weekend away to find another type of baby fishy all over my tank. I did some quick reading online to discover that these rarely breed too. NICE! Anyway, mom is having allergies and can't eat much according to the Chinese herbalist doctor man who prescribed some really stinkyyyyyyy crap. My room STINKS of nasty-smelling Chinese herbs now. ARGH! Anyway, Joe and I ended up splitting a large pizza from Pizza Hut instead for dinner. I can't remember the last time this happened!!!

Hey, look at that! I'm all caught up!!! Heeehehe!

Today I woke up, showered for work, and came in. I was tempted to get McDonald's for breakfast but refrained from doing so. I didn't want a heart attack, nor did I want to spend money. Instead I had a juice and ate a peanut butter square (which we baked on Sunday - forgot to mention that). I had leftover pizza for lunch, and it's now almost time to get off work. I'm meeting Kev at Finch Stn., we're heading to Imprint Express to get the Exec shirts, followed by a quick stop at Big Al's, and TD, and IKEA. Wheee!!

Wow Coboconk? I never thought I'd find a person who knew of that place. My cottage is actually quite close to there so I've been in that tiny town a bunch of times. Good fish and chips! Hmm, what else... oh yeah contacts. Yeah I know all about that. And as a great comedian once said "Oh yeah good idea, instead of glasses, put the glass IN your eye!!" My only other comment is simple. Congee Wong = yum. I haven't had it in so long, I crave it now, and my white family certainly won't be going... aiya!
