stones taught me to fly
love, it taught me to lie
life taught me to die
so it's not hard to fall
when you float like a cannonball

Cover or original?

It's quite common nowadays for songs to be re-done by another artist. Here's one that comes to mind: Behind Blue Eyes was originally done by The Who, but I definitely prefer the cover done by Limp Bizkit. Right about now, I can see Dan and Kev cringing with disgust already.

Anyway, so why do I bring this up, you ask? I've been listening to this one song non-stop. If I hadn't asked Kev though, I wouldn't have known that (Sir) Paul McCartney did the original, and that the version I prefer is a merely a cover. Hrm, either way, it's a good song. Joe downloaded it because it was from the O.C. season finale. Anyhoo, I think you should all give it a listen. It's a great tune; very "pretty". It certainly moves me when I listen to it. Maybe it'll have the same effect for you?

Jem - Maybe I'm Amazed

Maybe I'm Amazed At The Way You Love Me All The Time
Maybe I'm Afraid Of The Way I Love You
Maybe I'm Amazed At The Way You Pulled Me Out Of Time
And Hung Me On A Line
Maybe I'm Amazed At The Way I Really Need You

Maybe I'm A Girl And Maybe I'm A Lonely Girl
Who's In The Middle Of Something
That She Doesn't Really Understand

Maybe I'm A Girl And Maybe You're The Only Man
Who Could Ever Help Me
Baby Won't You Help Me Understand

Maybe I'm A Girl And Maybe I'm A Lonely Girl
Who's In The Middle Of Something
That She Doesn't Really Understand

Maybe I'm A Girl And Maybe You're The Only Man
Who Could Ever Help Me
Baby Won't You Help Me Understand

Maybe I'm Amazed At The Way You're With Me All The Time
Maybe I'm Afraid Of The Way I Leave You
Maybe I'm Amazed At The Way You Help Me Sing My Song
Right Me When I'm Wrong
Maybe I'm Amazed At The Way I Really Need You

OMG! That "The Dandy Warhols" song is SO cool! I totally recognize it from the show! Apparently my brother had it already though. He thought I'd stolen the song from him. Haha! I've got some other tunes to send you. Message me when you see me online!

We'll do coffee or dessert or bubbletea or whatnot sometime! =)
